OK, I confess, I’ve a bit of an obsession with statistics, (9.78% of us have).

Apparently only 0.05% of TC members have an I.Q. over 30, and that’s NT. (I love you).
Apparently only 1% of TC members view the topics fully clothed, and one of them is Humper, and the other is DB. (I love you both fully clothed only).
Apparently only 0.05% of TC members want to finger Kylie, and that’s me. (I love you Kylie).

And also, 30% of professional footballers are black or Asian, but there are only two black football managers in the professional leagues of 92 clubs, that’s 2%. (ok, 2.17391%)

And that last one is interesting, because it’s almost exactly the same percentage as the black and Asian supporters who attend matches, at 2.5%. So with black role models on the pitch at 30%, there are only 2.5% black or Asian supporters in the grounds. Why? OK, in the 70’s the terraces were a hostile environment for black fans, but not today in the UK.

There was a recently released “Black List” of the most influential black people in football.

Perhaps black people are mostly too intelligent to be interested in football.

The asian thing is interesting (no seriously, it is) as i dont think there are any british asian footballers in the top divisions. Might be a cultural thing, they all want to be doctors or fast bowlers

And there is still plenty of rascism in football

But 30% of professionals are black, so they are just to intelligent to watch it? nope, don’t think that’s the reason for the disparity.

Maybe that 30% came from tough areas, where they were forced to work hard to succeed, and football seemed a good option. Who knows?

What I do know is that there’s plenty of racism around in Britain. Ask my wife.

In general society in the UK there is doubtlessly racism, but in football stadiums it’s virtually eradicated nowadays. The chants from the terraces during 70’s & 80’s would get you locked up now, and in those days it was the domain of the white, working class, youth. So I just don’t get it, why is there such a small percentage of black & Asian fans attending games.
