yep pcpitstop gave me winners on all except for defrag my hdd, and it didnt like me running vista sp1, gave me a yellow on that as well.

I ran Optimize and it suggested a number of changes- now, short of buying the program, what are my options for utilizing the suggestions?
I’m a cheap bastard, I know. I understand I can empty the cache’s on my own- but is their a way to utilize their rather long list of registry changes somewhat quickly? Or will it mean a lot of manual searching and removing using regedit?

First of all...Never, ever mess with your registry unless you are 100% sure you know what you’re doing. I rarely play there myself as it can get very confusing, very quickly and one mistake could be fatal.

PC Pitstops ‘Optimize’ is very well respected and recommended. It has won quite a few awards.

Also, its one of the few programs i would actually recommend purchasing as it is totally worth the money in my opinion.

If i remember it optimizes everything (not just emptying caches and cookies etc..)

It sorts out your ADSL line, disc speed, does repairs..etc..and comes from a site that is totally trustworthy. I have been using them since they first appeared and have bought two versions of ‘Optimize’ off them, when they first brought it out years ago and i found it a very nice bit of kit.

It is worth buying...even if its just to sort out your registry...but it will do a lot more...and once you’ve got it..you’ve got it for life and included in the price is a years update.

What did the ‘Full Scan’ (Bottom left on the page) turn up?

Nope...I just truly like and trust the software they produce…

I only recommend their stuff because it has never let me down and always does the job, exactly how they claim.

I’ve been recommending their software and their site for years.

I always thought that the full tests that diagnose your PC and tell you whats wrong...and then tell you how to fix it was 100% cool, especially for free.

I’m on the side of people like ‘Spybot’ and ‘SpywareBlaster’...They took a lot of time and money to produce something, for free, that has saved so many PCs...and it is still costing them money to update...and they ask for nothing in return.

Everything i ever suggest here, is freeware that i have either used extensively or still using. (except for their paid-for ‘Optimizer’...but its only $29.99 and when i got it before it sorted my PC out noticeably. I dont really need it now as i can the same, manually)

Well it freezes on my Vista work machine.

I blame Vista though. For everything. It’s useless.
