Whackaday is getting a bit long in the tooth and his taste in music has expanded over the years. I love my punk, Oi!, Brit Pop, Mod, Ska, Two-Tone, heavy metal, prog rock etc. Fuck me, I’ll even listen to some ambient trippy stuff now and again. Over the last couple of years I’ve become more interested in folk music. Now, don’t laugh it’s not all “Hey nonny, nonny”. Take a listen to Judy Collins. There’s no massive marketing machine, fancy clothes, dance routines, celebrity in the jungle, digital enhancement, microphone echo, entourage of bodyguards and other cunts. Just listen to her voice. It’s old stuff, but a treat for the ears, heart and mind.
