Whenever i go onto the totally crap page i get forwarded to some shitty site that tries to sell me shitty software and asks me if i want the page to run a shitty scan of my computer. Its pointless because the shitty scan prolly wont work on my mac anwyay...... does anyone know how to stop the automatic forwarding?

I get that same thing now and then as well. use to happen once a month or so now a couple times a week.

This problem is web-wide...and has infected thousands of sites. The ‘pop-up’ itself, is not dangerous....but the software and scan they are offering IS DANGEROUS!… DO NOT SCAN!...DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING!

It has NOTHING to do with Totallycrap.

The pop-up isnt dangerous...but whatever you do..dont click on any part of it...If you do it will take you another site which will try and fuck you over..

This what you do...In this order.

1. Don’t close the pop-up window.

2. Disconnect from the Web

3. Close the pop-up page ( it will instantly try and reconnect to foward you to the ‘scan’ page)

4. Use the back button to return to the TC Front page.

5 Refresh the TC front Page and THEN let it re-connect.

This pop-up blocker will close the page in an instant before it has a chance to load anything.

Once again...The Front Page pop-ups are nothing to do with TC...This scam pop-up has spread right across the web on thousands of websites.

Do the above and you won’t see them anymore.

The problem is web-wide? Yes and no.

This is one of two things, either malware on the users PC
or there is something in the TC homepage code that is causing this.

This doesn’t happen to any other site that I visit, go figure.

Its just a minor coding exploit on the adserver.

When the pop-up spammers done this before to vunerable adservers across the web...They sorted it within a few weeks and it just faded away......

Now its back in a new form. Thats all it is. Same thing...Just wearing a different coat.

Using the pop-up stopper, linked above, will cure it once and for all.

Just add the name of the open ‘pop-up’ page to the target list and the pop-up will open and close in an instant, before it can download.

The list of sites that have this problem again, runs into thousands.

I could name a few..but as the coding of the pop-up is to make it randomly appear..who knows when you’ll come across it.

Thats why i recommend the pop-up stopper above...its freeware and does the job very well indeed.

Chaps, let me assure you, it is nothing to do with us.
We at TC, VK and all our affiliate language sites do not have any form of pop-up, spyware or adware, purposely built in to our system. We don’t like it on other sites, so we are sure as fuck not going to put it on ours.
That said, i am getting the same Newbie Guides and Registry Clean-up shit as the rest of you and i only seem to be getting it on TC.
We think it may be a new code that we have entered recently and are working hard to try and remove any new bits that may be affecting it, but as you can imagine, there is a lot of fucking code that we have to go through.

As soon as we have it fixed, you lot will be the first to know.

You’ve just been lucky to visit TC when the pop-up wasn’t due to strike…

Like Me and Dev have both said...Nothing to do with TC...and you can stop it by following the advice in my thread above...Just don’t click to run the scan and don’t download nothing from these sites.

I`ve gotten the outpost firewall with some anti spyware shit+++ after I got that I`ve almost never gotten a pop-up or any spyware on my pc..:D
