- Which leads me to the reawaken the long forgotten question.. When is the forum getting a visual upgrade? I believe there’s been talk of that since before I joined..

if its a bit smudgy then wont be visually boring or bland. just not totally crisp images on the sigs

All I’m saying is that 10 or 20kb more won’t make all that huge a difference considering how few people actually have sigs. Especially when considering that the rest of the forum is just a standard skin..

The reason i suggested the more space is cus it’ll be cool to have gif

But again that’s up to willy and the ‘geeks’ they’ll know what’s better for the site…

Personaly I made my sig with paint shop. And I like it.

Just take a look at your current sig for example. There are these blurry smudgy looking areas around everything in it.. And that’s not your fault, that’s just a result of saving it in low quality..

I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree m8 My sig’s a bad example, it’s a tongue in cheek (quite literally) ‘impact’ sig not a design showcase....and the source images were already well compressed so there wasn’t much I could do about it (plus it’s an underwater scene so perfect clarity would’ve looked daft ).

My point is, this is a general forum where 99% of people won’t look at the sigs with a designers eye. If i were a designers board where all the members looked at sigs with a critical eye I’d agree

That’s true but, imho, the only theme which is worth using (because it gives the latest topics list) is the Developer theme - and it is a little on the bland side.
If someone wants to send me the developer template files I’ll happily TCify them That way, there’ll be a seperate TC theme based on the developer template but using colours and background based on the front page.
