So, on Thursday I finally bit the bullet and bought some Microsoft points to try their XBox 360 movie download system.
Spent several hours downloading 300 in HD, everything seemed fine until I went to play the film today and was informed that the download hadn’t completed properly.  Checked my active downloads, nothing pending and all appeared as it should.  The film starts to play, but about the last quarter is missing.

Stupid flippin thing, really pissed me off.  Wasted nearly 5gb of my monthly broadband capacity and was looking forward to watching the film again.

I’m gonna try to phone Microsoft tomorrow to try get my points back - so we’ll see how that goes.

Anyone else had any problems?

A DVD-player/pc is for watching movies and a gameconsole is ment to be used for playing.
Take an ordinary bittorrent and you have the movie in hq within 3-4 hours.
Nowadays you have LCD which also have a vga input, so you can connect your pc straight to your screen.
That works fine for me, I have a dual output videocard and use one output for my pc-screen and the other for my lcd-tv.

A PC monitor is HD anyway…

I completely agree with you 100% Thats why I have new had a problem with Nintendo’s consoles never being able to play Dvd’s! The Wii & mt Pc are ausome for games! But i watch Dvd’s on the Dvd player.

my cousin uses the download service hes never complained.  wonder what the ps3 is like?
