this is something else- only 55mb!! have been making art all day in work and both run off a 128mb USB key (albeit at a pace do slow you’d be better off growing an image in your facial hair)

I just saw Meshans sig- so i thought you guys might get a bit of use outta it

it doesn’t install so ANY corporate or business security will let it do its thing..

to get started

Does it work with Vista…?

Put this in Google… “Portable Adobe Illustrator CS11”

And you’ll find it’s all Russian sites…

I can’t find any reference to Vista with CS11..(unless i’m being stupid..)

Why only Russian warez sites?...Why not any in English?...Why ain’t there any reviews on it?...

I dunno…

PS…And what a way to distribute a clever, ‘bypass your Anti-Virus’ (cos there are a quite a few out there) Trojan or worse…on a USB stick..You could put it in a dozen PCs..infecting each one..

I’m having real trouble finding anything in English or anywhere that lists its requirments…or even any thorough reviews (in English)

There are some sites saying ‘dont mess with some of the files’ and ‘dont change anything’ and things like ‘Dont worry about the warnings’...

Something is bothering me about this whole thing and i dont know what…But something is not quite right…If you know what i mean…

I’ve been using it on 3 pc’s - all running the latest versions of virus software with up to date definitions (AVG Corporate and Symantec) and nothings been flagged. As far as I know it’s simply a stand alone .exe that loads CS3 in memory and it’s worked perfectly for me so far….but I agree, you need to be careful so if anyone is in doubt don’t run it smile

And where’s all the ‘English’ reviews of this…

We’ve got ‘test’ machines at work that are rebuilt daily - I’ll try it on one of our Vista machines and let you know if it works smile

Ok, I’ve just had a good old search for ‘portable adobe cs3’ amongst other strings. It does seem that quite a few versions do carry Trojans but some are clean. As I’ve said, this version hasn’t flagged anything on my up to date virus scanners but that isn’t a gauruntee….if you do use this it’s at your own risk (excellent piece of kit though)...

Cheers,
SD

okay erm…

the file is a re-up and its not cs11, is CS3 extended(creative suite)

I know all i can give you is my word (i give a shit about this site and would like to continue coming here) but i scanned THE SHIT out of this as i brought it in behind my works corporate firewall (major computing conglomerate nightmare shitfest of a company- another rant)

as for changing stuff i added fonts, swatches, brushes, filters, removed filters and generally messed around with the files and it still works just fine-drag and drop

the file hosted here is the one i used- if it would make you guys feel better ill re-up the one on my desktop

as for vista compatibilty- yep its about the only thing that works like a dream but RAm will affect how much you can have goin on but the light user shouldnt notice the difference

and heres me thinkin noone bothered to DL it cheese

Ok, I’ve run all our ‘up to date’ corporate scanners against the files and ‘no threats found’. I’ve also tried it on Vista and it works absolutely fine.

Cheers,
