how ‘bout a discussion on wether that rape vid should be taken off the site? (the article itself could remain, maybe)

I vote for removing it, as I’ve said (some arguments on the comments there). Don’t know if this is the place for this post, so feel free to move it.

As someone who watched it - she’s just a bit of a screamer.  And the vid was all screams and no actual intercourse.

as I said, I didn’t watch it, and I’m not going to - that’s not my point, and the visibility or not of actual intercourse isn’t either.
the issue is, is TC crossing a line posting (and thus further spreading) a rape vid? (posting it as an authentic one, there were no doubts about it in the text)

removing it won’t solve the issue, but removing eventual racist comments wouldn’t solve racism either, and banning kiddy porn won’t end child abuse. I believe sometimes there are sides to be unmistakably (and openly) taken.

bottom line could be: what is the (is there/should there be a) limit for what’s on TC? even if I can’t draw clearly or easily this line, it’s my opinion that rape is beyond it - like racism and child abuse.

side note: talking/discussing about things is not the same as presenting/doing these things in (and for) themselves. free discussion must remain present, of course.

It is just like the independent films.  some of them show real sex almost real rape and child abuse and other fucked up things.  People have the choice to either watch it or not.  I choose not to because there are some things that i dont want to see.

I agree 100% with snowball.I can’t think of any justification for it’s presence there.

There was a similar discussion a while back about a post called Euro Guro (or something) and I have to say the likelyhood of you getting a meaningful discussion are pretty much nil.  The resposes you will get will mostly be:

1) If you don’t like it, don’t watch it
and
2) The material exists on other sites so taking it down wouldn’t do any good

For me they’re pretty dumb answers.  For me the issue is whether or not you want to associate yourself with a site that posts the material in the first place.  Personally, I’m not sufficiently outraged to boycott the site (and yes I’m well aware no-one would give a shit if I did), but maybe TC drops a little in my estimation because of it.  But then to be honest the TC frontpage hasn’t been nearly as interesting since they moved the poon to Totallynsfw.  For me the forum is the best of both worlds.

I chose not to watch it as I don’t need to see that kind of thing.

whilst its probably a very disturbing video, TC (Willy) preaches what its practises. The choice is the FP visitor’s. Should you want to watch it, the decision is yours. There’s little point in taking it down now, especially as it has already been uploaded and possibly viewed by a lot of people. Its a strange one. But as most people have said - its up to you…

however - slice the fuckers up…
