So does anyone else have problems with the multiplayer version of COD4 on the xbox?
I hate it so far, the vulgarity and flat out abuse you hear and take in it from 6 year olds telling you to suck their cock yet next line is yeah, I got an acheevement… cant even say the word, but they can get suck my cock out just fine.

I dont mind smack talk and good fun, but I have yet to find a server on xbox that doesnt have a bunch of prepubesent kids telling others they are bitches and to blow them.

On the PC version you can select servers and get with like minded adults and give each other shit, but not have to listen to the endless shit that is on xbox.

maybe im getting old…
or am i missing a setting to pick servers better for better mature people.

I hate all that abuse crap.  I play Fight Night online with my Xbox and the little kids just shout the whole time.
I no longer wear the headphones.

Used to play C&C;on the PC a few years back, at least back then it was just all typed.

The only way I play multi-player is unplugged; I know that you can’t coordinate with people that way, and that’s why I don’t play many FPS games, but I don’t need to hear people. That’s why it makes me upset that games aren’t shipping with local multi-player anymore. Companies think that people don’t like the split-screen thing, but I liked being able to sit around with friends and play, all in the same place. That’s why I hope Goldeneye comes to XBox live, that’d kick ass.

cant you turn off voice chat? on the pc i always have it turned off

Thanks guys for the input, but if I unplug my headset then the voice chat comes out through the tv or surround, and thats all I need is to hear that crap in surround, hehe.

on the PC I dont have the issues, as the servers keep monitor of people and boot them for abuse and language, but not on the xbox.

Maybe I just need to go in and mute the players that I dont want to hear, but I think I would be doing more of that then playing.

Any other thoughts?

Oh, bigD, COD4 does allow you to do split screen up to 4 people, or via system link. but I have yet to try it, same with frontlines I think too, but the online for that didnt thrill me, I could dump a whole clip into someone and they can pop me with 2 shots.

Never could get my mind around how some people are just that accurate with aiming or spotting people so far out.

I hate the little american kids with their stupid whiney high voices. THey soon shut up when you repeatedly kill them though.
