For those of you who aren’t aware, Jack Thompson is a lawyer who has decided that video games are destroying America’s youth and that it’s his job to wipe out this destructive form of entertainment. To this end, he wrote a nasty letter to the mom of a head-honcho at Rockstar Games, the ones who are making the new Grand Theft Auto game:

give them a call and say you want them to take a claim against themselves on your behalf for emotional damage

My wife’s a lawyer, solicitor for you Brits, and she says that it’d be “intentional infliction of emotional distress.” It’s lucky most people don’t know you can sue for that, I’d be in trouble.
