religious faith is a good thing, it gives people something to believe in and a moral basis to base their lives on, its when you add religious beliefs into the picture that it fecks everything up, thats when people start saying that anyone who has dif beliefs is wrong and wars and extremism start to pop up

Bunkers, you already know what I think about religion and the sky daddy: it’s all a pile of big, enormous, hairy knackers. That said, 99% of humans do seem to have an instinctive desire to find meaning and purpose in their lives, and that tends to promote a belief in something, whether it be an invisible, non-existent being or a political doctrine. Think about it; how many have died because people blindly followed the teachings of Marx or Hitler? Religion may suck donkey bollocks, but it’s stupidity that’s the real problem.

and now you’re being just like religious extremists, they say if you don’t follow my beliefs you’re in the wrong, and you’re saying the exact same thing but that if you follow religion at all you are wrong,

having faith does not cause wars, its just the act of believing that there is something more powerful out there, its when people attach religious beliefs that the wars are started and that is where religion is fucked up, i personally believe in God, but follow no one particular religion, as i don’t believe that a priest/rabbi/iman/monk can tell me what God wants me to do anymore than God can tell me him/her/itself. God does not talk to people, people listen to there own inner voice and believe it to be God, but this doesn’t prove he/she/it does not exist. But just as i can’t prove the existence of God, you can’t prove the non-existence either. To blindly follow what some mortal man tells you God wants is stupid, but to have faith that their is something bigger out there is a natural human trait
