I’m a rarity. Willing to learn from other people! OMG. I thought we only valued our own opinions?  big surprise Anyways...The post is not random.

Never said the post was random. Said the picture was random. The quoted post, however, was random.

You seem to have missed my point. My point being that you should start by sharing your owns views in a little greater detail other than a random picture found on google. Especially considering how wide an amount of views and religious mumbojumbo “pagan” covers.

I was avoiding immediate judgement...such as the “charmed” comment...now that you are being more technical. I am in fact Pagan. Wiccan in fact. However I have open ears to all concepts of religion.

Religion served a purpose when science wasnt advanced enough to explain the world, and when life was ‘Nasty brutish and short’. Afterall, without an afterlife or an acceptance that there was some great plan how else could people live with their constant suffering?
As the main religions advanced they absorbed the local cultures and beliefs so that they would become more acceptable to the populations the were encountering. At the time the role of women, the poor etc etc was defined and that was incorporated into the main religions. As society has moved on, religion hasn’t. How can you claim its the word of god and then a thousand or more (depending what religion you look at) claim that women are suddenly equal as society has moved on when any given gods word was supposed to be the word of someone all mighty, all powerful and all knowing?

I hate religion, i have seen the damage it has done first hand by those who very loosly claim an affiliation but have rarely set foot in a church in their lives. I dont hate the religious tho. It would be nice to have something to cling onto like faith. As a devout athiest I just choose chocolate as an acceptable alternative

never ask me my honest opinion on something, i will just give it and bore you all cheese

If you wanted faulty semantics, you should’ve said so earlier.

And you’re gonna have to elaborate further still. Oh and people are gonna judge you no matter what(This especially applies to the subject of religion.), if you can’t handle that, life is probably gonna be an issue. Of course, people judge you when you’re dead too. But then you’ll have the benefit of not caring.

I am not bored by you Teddy. You intrigue me. Although I must say in response to your women equality comment that it is pertaining to free will of man rather than God.??

As I stated before...I don’t care who judges me. And I value all of your opinions whether or not you value mine. One of us will learn and one of us won’t.

Then stop avoiding it. (Oh and the charmed comment wasn’t me judging you as much as it was me being a witty, witty bastard.)

‘Religion is the opiate of the people...and the heart of a heartless world, the soul of soulless conditions’ Karl Marx.

The Encyclopaedia Brittanica said the Grand Inquisitor was the most profound commentary on humanity in the history

of the Novel, written by a theist it contains the most refined atheist arguments ever known and in that ironic

paradigm undermines them completely. If you’re intellectually inclined :

Dostoevsky - The Grand Inquisitor

‘I fight because i like it’ - Sakuraba Kazushi

why does anyone have to learn? surely on something that is a matter of faith you cannot change opinions as faith isnt based in logic

When my daughter was 18 months she died. She was proclaimed dead for ten minutes. Her brain shut down but her heart didn’t. She had febrile seizures and was resisitant to Acetimenophen as well as Ibuprofen. Her fever became so high that it cut off the oxygen to her brain. I admit I prayed. She came through...I wonder to this day. She is 8 years old now and the top of her class. She outgrew the seizures as well.
