Og, my take on religion is that the only being you should need to believe in is yourself.

Depends on how you much you really know about Wicca. It’s about universal energy not a deity necassarily…do some reading it might interest you in the long run (although I highly doubt it).
I was an atheist and am now agnostic moving towards believing in “something”. If people sit back and take the time to think about how remarkable the world and our existence is then it is quite amazing that we exist at all.

i have read a bit despite you seeming to think i’m incapable of it. To use the term wiccan is to identify yourself with the spititual values of that religion, although there are many different sects. it involves rituals and sometimes gods an godesses so is just like any other religion. Im a bit of an eco hippy so can see the basis for it but a tree doesnt care if i praise it and give thanks, thats putting human characteristics on inanimate objects

I had a feeling you would take the reading comment wrong. I know you’re intelligent and i have a lot of respect for you. You know then that Wicca can also be loosely interpreted to accord to ones own beliefs gathered through their lifespan.
What I meant by that comment about the reading is that the topic may not generally interest you becuase I can tell you know your stuff…to an extent. All of us have more to learn.
let me get this straight, nothing existed, then god existed (he had to come from somewhere),
then he somehow learnt (without anyone teaching him) how to design life, planets, gravity, species, dna, habitats, eco systems etc. Then not only that, he has the ability to create life, planets people, the abilty to create anything (therefore the abilty to stop anything.) Yet he allows Hitler to be born, start world war 2 then kill 6 million of his original favoured people, and he has the abilty to stop all of this, but doesnt’t?

as i said, its full of different sects and ideas. but then so is christianity. i just dont see the point in alligning yourself to a particular tag be it christian, muslim, wiccan or manchester united supported. all have evolved so people take what they want from them and ignore the bits they dont believe in, or in the case of manchester united just take the glory and not actually watch the football
