I think you have a good point.

I think there is a place for religion in the world.

While there are dumb people in the world, there will always be a place for religion. They depend in it to know what is rite & wrong. With out it they are so dumb they cant work it out for them self.

They need simple rules in black & white.

And there’s the problem. If you’re bored, read the bible/quran etc. and see just how black and white the rules really are. You can use the religious texts to justify almost any action, however abhorrent it may be.

I fucking hate talking about religion here, especially because it comes up so fucking often. But I’m going to cos its late and I’m bored and pissed off.

Not all religious people are dumb. A moronic argument. You may not agree with their beliefs but that does not make them stupid. A lot of very successful, intelligent people are religious.
I severely fucking doubt all religious people depend on their religion to know the difference between right and wrong. Sure a lot of people don’t know how their religion stands on about a million different things so they make up their mind based on their own feelings. They don’t go running to a book or to their local bishop/cow/monkey/holy man!
Plenty of non religious people don’t know the difference between right and wrong too. People are people and therefore rarely need a religious reason to be a fucking arsehole to the human next to them. For most its second nature.

A lot of very successful, intelligent people are religious

Trouble is...to believe in invisible beings...a person has to throw away every ounce of common sense...because when you apply common sense to the notion...It makes no sense.

Yes i understand & know what your saying.

But I didnt say all religious people are dumb. You miss understand. I WAS going to put it another way other than saying dumb, but couldnt think of one. Sorry to piss you off, I should of worded it differently.

I was refering to the dumb murders, rapist’s & criminals or anyone who you would think of as dumb. & its when those sorts of people change their life & say they have accepted jesus, & turned christian. Thats who Im refering to when I say that They depend in it to know what is rite & wrong. They need simple rules in black & white.
