made me cry when i was young

When I was a lad, we had an after-school cinema club type thing held in the sports hall.  We had ET once (before it was premiered on TV) and many a girl ended up in tears when the brown-wrinkly died.
It was so popular though, that they had it on again a few weeks later.  I decided to watch Sinbad The Sailor in in the drama room instead.
