ok, I don’t know how many of you (except the Brits around) know Charlie Brooker and his miniseries on TV and media (I fukin loved it, I link my fav episode) but he’s finishing 6-episode series on zombie apocalypse and Big Brother.
Guardian columnist Charlie Brooker’s E4 zombie thriller Dead Set will be set in the Big Brother house.
The six-part horror series - E4’s first move into the genre - is being made by Zeppotron, the independent owned by Big Brother producer Endemol UK.
It is understood that in Dead Set, the Big Brother house becomes one of the last places where people can shelter from the zombies.
According to Broadcast magazine, the contestants in the Big Brother house are unaware of the massacre going on outside.
Described as being like cult US show 24 “but with zombies”, Dead Set was commissioned by the head of E4, Angela Jain.
More details about Dead Set, including casting for the thriller, are due to be announced tomorrow at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival and at the Film4 FrightFest on Monday.
Brooker told MediaGuardian.co.uk in April he expected it to comprise a “mixture of known and less well known faces”.
