The synopsis sounds like the episode of Diagnosis Murder; the one where they held a Telethon and the compare was murdered for wrecking a marriage many years previously. Oh and Dick Van Dyke did a little tap dance mid way through the show.
Well maybe it doesn’t sound that much like it then, but it reminded me of it anyway.

Hmmm…
the Muppets reunite to save their studio with one last variety show.
Now, we didn`t see that before, have we?

Well, they can’t hold down jobs… guess the money from their last theatre-saving show finally ran out, so they need another one. It’s a never-ending circle! I read that the writer might also look at doing a series if the movie is a success. I put the poor state of today’s youth firmly down do lack of muppets.

And Animal did become an accountant, come to think of it. I stand corrected.

I think it’s the ‘Lava Lamp Effect’ - it’s turned this place into the twilight zone!
