Meshan, a true film geek would have specified which version of The 39 Steps… tongue wink

Another proper old classic is It Happened One Night.  There’s some really witty and quick dialogue in it.  Great fun.

The 70’s version with Robert Powell.

It had the best cinematography. Long sweeping airel shots of the moors.

Potemkin is a well crafted telling of events that led to the change of Eastern Europe.

It’s a fucking awful film though.

Try watching it again in about 10 years you might appreciate it more. It is one of the finest movies ever made.
