My misses did some mystery shopping for formula1 today. She works in head office and has to ring around the workshops nationwide to see what they will quote her as a female customer. They price she was given as the standard for a 02 clio battery was £44. So she rings around and gets prices of an average £60-£80. A bloke in her office does the same and gets prices between £44-£50. Dirty bastards.

and the lesson learnt is that she needs to start talking with a deep coughing voice when phoning up for quotes in future.

Have to agree, they try and take women for every penny they’ve got. The HH’s car needed a new tyre for its MOT, she was quoted over £100 for the tyre and £50+ for the MOT. I phoned up and got a Pirelli tyre for under £50, same garage, same guy, just a complete arse! But to make a point i took it elsewhere and got it done, then took it back for the MOT re-test and it passed. So, for being an arse he lost money

its the same crap when i have to buy things in hardware shops. they totally patronise me and then try and sell me loads of crap i dont need. I worked for a diy shop for 2 years so probably know more than them

she does but there still bastards. belive it or not it is cheaper for me to get tyres from ajs than formula1 with her discount lol
