If you was using Opera, there would be additional possibilities to enhance your tc and general surfing experience:
shift + click = open in new tab
shift + ctrl + click = open in new background tab for later browsing

Mousegesture:
rightclick + move up + move down = duplicate the active tab

got a link in a forum which is not a clickable url? mark it, copy it (ctrl + c) and paste it in the actual tab via: ctrl + b, in a new tab via: ctrl + shift + b, in a new backgroundtab: ctrl + shift + alt + b
