Oh! Your a madman.
Just curious, why that model?
Have you ridden racing bikes much?
Thought about something a little more rider friendly?
Yep, after 20 mins on that badboy your back’ll be aching, you’re arms’ll be cramping and you’ll be think ‘why oh why did I buy this!’
...very extreme riding position! Beautiful looking bike though….
This is is what I’m thinking about for next year. The best 950cc blade according to most sources, comfy, fast and nimble
Cheers,
SD
Exactly my point!
One of the first things that hurts riding those racing bikes is your wrists.
Your wrists end up taking your whole upper body weight, from leaning over so far.
The only way to relieve your wrists is by holding onto & clamping your legs around the tank & take the weight.
But still there’s the back ache & the rest after a while.
So B6, have you ridden much of these racing bikes bikes before?
Or ar eyou just going for the wow cool factor?

In the last several years, these style bikes have changed from sports bikes to super sports bikes, to full on racing bikes, just with lights added on.
10 years ago these bikes (eg old Honda CBR900) were no were near as aggressive riding position as they are these days. They uded to be allot more rider friendly.
The bike company’s figured out that the consumer doesnt want a very watered down racing sports bike bike. They really want a full on racing bike that they can ride on the road.
This is what the sports bikes are today.
Im sure they are fantastic on the race track. But as a bike that you have to ride & you want to be comfortable? Na, none here.

Another thing thats a downer with these racing bikes is that they do not have much power under 5000rpm. You have to rev them a considerable amount before the power kicks in.
This is especially so in the 600cc.
I took a 07 Kaw ZX-10R for a flog the other day.
My KTM 640 had alot more get up & go from a stand still at low revs than the ZX did.
But if its high reving power you want & very high over the top speed that you will never use? Then yes, the modern racing bike is the go.
But I can tell you, as a everyday rider, high reving power is not what you need & want in a rider freindly bike that you want to ride.

I also took the Kawasaki Z1000 for a ride the other day.
I HIGHLY recommend this bike! It has a perfect riding position, good strong low down power from take off where you want it, & LOOKS FUCKING SWEET!!
