...Optional or not...Any dubious character at FaceBook can still access your email account and read whatever they want...or use your account, as and when they want....

Thats gotta be one the most idiotic things i have ever seen...and yet thousands of people give these strangers total access to their email accounts. No wonder there is so much spam emails.

One of the little boxes you tick allows your data to be used for a third party…

I agree....But you have to ‘untick’ the box...thats hidden amongst a dozen other boxes…

100%...Im think we found why there is so many spam emails in the world…

Why hasn’t this come to everyones attention before....

FaceBook asks for your email address and the password to your email account…

Totally agree DB, couldn’t believe it when i signed up and it asked for my password to my e - mail account… WTF!? No - way!

Can’t believe people would happily give out there personal details like that. As you say a spammers heaven but what about personal e - mail from friends, family, etc… it’s potential fraud heaven too.

Don’t give out your e - mail password on there AT ALL!!!!
