Personally I’d go for MotoGP every time - far more exciting then any car racing, they actually overtake rather then only change postion due to pitstops smile

I know that’s a generalisation and there’s plenty of people who’ll disagree - so what’s your favourite and why?

Cheers,

I used to prefer F1, but that got boring when Senna died.
Tin tops is great fun to watch and actually drive, but the sense of speed for te viewer is sometimes not there.
Moto GP is great and Rossi is a God.

I love both the motoGP and F1. And i have to admit that motoGP is more exciting to watch in general terms for it’s overtaking actions during the race, but i have to admit that i’m more a F1 person.

In my opinion, one hav to fancy a certain driver 1st before one can concentrate during the race, eg. Ayrton Senna, M. Schumacher or Kimi Raikkonen. And there’s actually more things to learn 1st before one can actually know whats going on during an F1 race. It is far more complicated then it seems.

Try pay attention to the commentator(any ex-F1 driver)during the race to have a basic idea what F1 is all about.

I too love the F1 days of Senna, but F1 had come to a totally different sport since, which require much more computer input then it used to.

I’m looking forwards to the day when F1 is more of a driver’s sport, like the good old days, instead of a technology race. Nowadays, you can put a goat in a good F1 car, eg Ferrari or Renault, and it’ll almost surely get to the podium.

That’s actually a very good point regarding supporting a driver. When Mansell and Damon Hill were driving I used to watch F1 a lot mor avidly then I do now - almost like supporting a football team (for some reason I can’t get anywhere near as enthusiastic about Button but maybe that’s beacause he’s a tosser). I think that’s why MotoGP has had such a sudden rise in popularity, Rossi has so much charisma and skill that people are starting to watch it just for him.

Cheers,

Ya! It’s exactly like supporting a football team. I used to watch Mick Doohan, in fact, i hardly miss any of his race. When he retired, i switch my attention back to F1, the then fast emerging M. Schumacher. I started watching MotoGP again when Rossi started racing 500cc class (I seldom watch 125 and 250, although i think they are as entertaining, mainly because there aren’t anyone there for me to support ). Rossi really deserve to be called ‘Doc’! Now that M.Schumacher is retiring, i think i’ll shift my attention to Kimi…although i could never fully comprehent everything that he say. But I think he deserve to be a World Champion. Button is not yet mature, but he’s getting there. I long for the day where there is more than just 2 or 3 potential Champion in a season. It’ll be more fun and less predictable.

Anyone out there interested in Touring Car (BTCC, DTM etc) or endurance race (GT racing, Le Mans). I Love those too, for the cars competing is actually something that can be bought or seen, and be related to.

I am a biker so it will be moto gp everytime, well anything that has 2 wheels racing regardless of if I know who’s racing.

Good point about rooting for a driver though, thats the only reason I watch F1. It has it’s good days and it has it’s boring processional days as well. Would be a lot more eager to watch if a few of the lesser teams cause more upsets or got in there with the big boys, would love that.

Bit of bumper to bumper touring cars is worth a watch for me as well
