The greatest movie or movies of all time is a subject that endlessly crops up, be it among friends, in magazines, on tv or on the Internet. It’s a very subjective list and obviously depends a vast amount on personal tastes and on what people have and have not actually seen. My top movies will be very different from many of your top movies for example. One of the most recent lists of the 100 greatest movies of all time was compiled by the American Film Institute, updated from its first list released in 1998. There are plenty of great movies that didn’t make it here and here - I can’t believe that Fargo, one of my favourites, got thrown out. (Picture is taken from Easy Rider, which came in at number 84).

Regarding the 100 greatest movies of all time: - No “52 Pick Up”??? I am disappointed.
“Lolita” and “Alien” should have also been included.

I’ve spent many a night arguing that Raging Bull is the best film ever. God knows how Citizen Kane is number 1 .. and what is with Gone With the Wind in the top 10?
