I saw this “film” today and almost walked out but my friend paid and was my ride home. Do Not waste your $. The previews were way better. The only scene (spoiler alert)that was funny not on the previews was the nude wrestling. It looked staged at the end, which is really getting   old. His last, “Ali G”, was very entertaining because of a story line and schtick. Fooling unsuspecting people has really played itself out with him. If there was some point to this other than wanting to see Pamala Anderson and shocking people then it would have been another great film, instead I walked out dissapointed ...oh well at least I didnt pay for it

oh and lisa, what is so bad about someone educated (like s. cohen, who plays borat) fooling people who THINK that they are educated (like the ones he’s talking to as borat) and showing them how limited and intolerant they really are?

The Ali_G film was pants. Borat is a much more interesting character, although like Ali_G (on t-v)  he exists to expose the prejudices and ignorance in people he meets and interviews, like johnny pointed out. That’s the hook of the Borat film, not Borat himself. The reaction from the feminists in the film was predictable, but why do so many Americans in the movie take themselves so seriously? Life’s a joke, a piece of shit, ultimately.

I’m with DFS, I’ll wait for the DVD rip.

ali g is some kind of real low humor, but borat is pretty much the best documentation about ignorance and intolerance I have ever seen. I accept you not liking it (cause humor is always something to argue about), but I still asume you didn’t get the point. I know no one (and I know many very educated people) who didn’t like that movie. even the serious newpapers around here were talking about “the funniest person of the planet”.

and yes, I am a student. and I’m not studying at some minor american party college like there are dozens in texas and elsewhere. so all of you have a nice evening or wathever time it is in your country and see you tomorrow. or so.

Yeah i thought it was shite too, all the yanks were in on it, the joke was on the audience, the paying/ripping public, i love ali g and borat, but now he’s playing to a larger crowd the impact is lost, guys get over yourselves, yes it was amusing but to entertain the masses you have to go for cheap gags, which isn’t the format borat began with.
