After London in 2004 and Melbourne in 2005, Rotterdam will get its own F1 experience through the busy streets on August 7th this year. All sounds very exciting to us and TC will be hoping to be in attendance at this event, especially as Holland’s only F1 driver, Christijan Albers, will be driving his Minardi. I know, a bit late, but I told you I wasn’t going to be here this weekend. The F1 opener threw us a curve ball. No Michael Schumacher on the top step of the podium. No Michael Schumacher anywhere near the race result in fact. He thought he was in a bumpercar at the fairground. Williams let us down. BAR and McLaren let themselves down and new-comer Red Bull surprised us all by finishing 4th and 7th in their first race. Biggest surprise of them all though was Fisichella winning his first GP for Renault and the second one of his career. Renault came out as winners overall as well with Alonso driving to third place. To sum it up, The Oz GP wasn’t a very exciting race, but it did give us a surprising result. Roll on Malaysia. If you have pictures of the Oz GP please send them in to us.
