I’ve always had a soft spot for Lamborghinis. For some reason I like them more than a Ferrari. The Ferrari always looks like a guy with a bad chat up line, boat shoes and a ton of grease in his hair, whereas a Lambo looks like the guy who will put some GHB in a chicks drink, take her home and fuck her senseless. And she won’t mind when she wakes up. Emile Baddal just made a new design for a new Lamborghini and i’d gladly let it put GHB in my drink.

It is not the usual fair we post on Totally Crap but sometimes you come across things which you just instanteniously like. Designer Naoto Fukasawa’s fruit juice packages did it for me. His idea is simple. Make the fruit juice packages look like the fruit whic is inside. It’s clear, informative and looks cool. And as an added bonus kids will grow up thinking bananas are short, stocky and square.

This is by far the craziest Rolls-Royce you will have seen to date. It was commisioned by the family of the Sultan of Brunei and designed by DC Designs from India. It looks mad and crazy, but is it an improvement on the original? Tx 2 GT500

Construction of the world’s first moving building, a 80-storey tower with revolving floors which give it an ever-shifting shape, is due to begin. The Dynamic Tower, which will be built in Dubai, will feature 80 pre-fabricated apartments, spinning independently of one another. It looks bloody amazing, but what about the noise of all those floors moving about? It will be very interesting to see if this works or not. Tx 2 NT.

From the home of the Zeppelin comes the fabric covered concept, BMW GINA. So BMW designer Chris Bangle can now create multiple unattractive shapes in a single car, and possibly loose covers for Habitat sofas. But be careful when you get yours, and it comes to washing it. Don’t let your wife/girlfriend/mum put the cover in the washing machine with a coloured wash, like she did your favourite satin boxer shorts sexy boy, because although you reckon you still look good in off white, the car is going to look even more peculiar than you do.

Say what you want about graffiti, but in my house it’s considered as art. And as the world of art merges with the technological age, it was only right that the art of graffiti should follow suit. Dutch graff artist Daim and a few nerds have created a 3D simulation that paints with light in an open environment. No need for walls or a canvas. Just a special pair of goggles to see it and all sorts of technology to create it. (Via the Forum)

How can you get some attention on the world wide wed of weirdness? You can strip in front of a webcam. You can get into a fight with an irrate cop and post the video on Youtube or you can do a really bad imitation of a famous person’s song. All great ideas for individuals, but not really applicable to big companies wanting some promotion on the web. All they can do is run a competition in which you can win something and hope for the best. They should take Orange’s lead and be brave. Orange’s Good Things Should Never End is one of the best website I have ever seen. It seriously never seems to end and offers you countless little puzzles and games.

Regular crappers will know that i have a bit of a soft spot for graffiti. I haven’t tagged anything myself for years, but if i see something good, i try to get some snaps to share with you all. So when i first came across this Graffiti Generator, on the Forum, i was well impressed that you could create all sorts of amazing tags, with just a few teaks of a dial. But the more i think about it, the more i don’t like it. It took me fucking years of scribbling away, trying to determine my own name and style. And now any illiterate simpleton can create something great. Speaking of which, if you make something good, feel free to post it in the forum thread.

If your loved one is a bit of a chocoholic be prepared to get her knickers wet by simply showing her this link. Now all they need to do is make one for beer, vodka or some other alcoholic substance and you’ll be ready to go. Tx 2 Lilaliss

Mario is one of the most iconic creations ever to appear on a computer screen. Everyone knows the tune and his face is instantly recognisable. It goes without saying that he has some big big fans around the world. And what do you do to pay homage to such an icon if your talent happens to be drawing stuff? That’s right, you spend some hours drawing and animating a whole level of Super Mario. Impressive, but surely this time could have been better spent chasing women.

Another day, another post about the US army. But today, were not getting on the impromptu gay disco wagon. No today, we have the future of modern warfare and it’s big-ass robots. Well, i say big-ass, more like an uncomfortable, over balanced exoskeleton, that has a tail of wires and needs to be supported from above at all times. Still, it’s a start and with a bit of luck we will all soon have our own mobile-suit suit to go to the shops in. And i for one am already saving up for it. (Via the Forum)

Time for some more fun with some gun-happy hillbillies and their home made weapons of mass destruction. This time they have built themselves a helicopter and managed to fit a AA12 automatic rifle on the front. Not quite sure why. Maybe for hunting, or maybe it’s for keeping those city folk at bay. Or even taking them down when they get a little too close to the house. Or maybe it’s just because, as usual, they have far too much time on their hands. (Via the forum)

Graffiti art is out. Other kinds of street art are in. Some of the coolest I’ve seen is this light art. It looks funky, it looks cool and in the next clip I want to see the Totally Crap logo appear.

Not content with their sacrilegious raping and further bastardisation of all the things the 80’s meant to us, Hollywood is now turning it’s devious, perverted eyes towards another one of my childhood favourites. That’s right, the all new singing and dancing Knight Rider is due to hit our small screens in the near future. But gone is the classic Trans-am Pontiac Firebird, that they used to have, which, in it’s day, was pretty hot (for an American car) and replaced it with a Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang. Now the more i look at it, the more i think that it is the right choice. I mean, they couldn’t get away with using an Aston Martin, or anything like that, but it still fills me with dread at the idea of how bad the new show is going to be.

Whilst i was down in Brighton, over the weekend, i noticed something. It’s not just a mecca of gay estate agents, jewellery boutiques, fish restaurants, fudge shops and clothes stores, It’s also quite liberated when it comes to it’s graffiti. I’m not talking mindless tagging on signs and bus stops, but all over the place, there are full colour pieces of art that my shitty 2.0mp camera phone failed to do justice. But i snapped away anyway and i was even a little inspired to do a little doodle of my own on the paper tablecloth at the place we had lunch. Granted, it’s not half as good as any of the stuff on the walls, but i did only have a couple of kids crayons and the wife’s eye-liner to work with.

Right then, own up, who out there drives a Porsche? Not me, that’s for sure. But there is a Porsche dealer next door to my work, which i walk past everyday and think to myself, they haven’t changed in twenty-odd years. Sure, the engines keep getting upgraded and they sing and dance more now than they ever did, but essentially, they still look like the same as they did in the eighties. But will the new Carma concept car change the mould and finally adopt a completely different shape than all the rest. Don’t be silly.

Here at TC, we have a soft spot for a bit of stop motion animation, so when this turned up, i thought it best get posted. But it’s not quite what you expect it to be. Well, it will be if you choose to read this and not just click the link. Some chaps spent 13 hours in an abandoned warehouse, drawing on the walls, rubbing it out and then drawing some more, all whilst filming. The end result is fantastic and mad as a bucket of frogs. (Thanks to P)

One of my favourite movies as a kid, was The Last Starfighter. And i wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people of my generation would agree. The whole idea of an arcade game being a training sim for battle in some far off galaxy was spot on. It made you want to play every game you could get your hands on, just in the hope that you would be good enough to help free some alien race against tyranny. Of course, i was about four, the first time that i saw it. But i watched it again a few months back and sure, it had dated, but it still made me smile. But anyway, enough with the memory lane shit, some nerds have built a full size working model of the game. And what’s even better, is that you can download it and play it on your PC.

I am useless with Flash, but I know a man who isn’t. Watch Waterlollies if you don’t believe me. Give it 5 more years and we’ll have the first feature film made entirely in flash. Simply amazing stuff.

Remember when you were a kid and you used to make those little flip book animations? Well i do and granted, most of them consisted of badly scribbled naked ladies getting pounded, but that’s beside the point. It’s a simple, yet effective way of making pictures come to life. And as far as i can tell, that is they have done on this little video, but they must have spent a hell of a lot more time on it than i ever used to.
