In a galaxy far far away a lonely man was waiting on the one man who could save human kind from love and extinction in the romantic action movie of the year. You’ve probably never met Don LaFontaine before, but as soon as you hear his voice he’ll seem like an old trusty friend. The man that did over 5000 movie trailer voiceovers is not longer. Don R.I.P. in that far far away land.

Watching trailers won’t be so much fun anymore, RIP to the god of voiceovers.
True, LaFontaine had a distinctive voice, but IMO he made films seem shallow and trite. The best trailers have no voiceovers at all, and let the visuals and cutting do the talking.
