Whilst the football was on, local councils all over the UK erected giant plasma screens all over the place, so those not able to get to Germany could sit in the park with their mates and enjoy the football in the sun. We had a couple put up here in Birmingham, but i don’t think the firm who did them will be getting the contract again in four years time. You see one of the plasma’s decided to put a on a bit of a show of it’s own and did a little balancing act, albeit a rather crap one. The PR chap says it was designed to fall backwards. So it’s got nothing to do with the fact that it should have had 8tn of ballast on each leg, not the 4tn that it actually got? Still, with a bit of luck, it could have landed on a few Villa fans.
