Marriage is a religious ritual, it’s down to the rules of that religion and leaders of the respective faiths to decide who can and can not be married. Marriage has become more of a legal agreement where two people can be recognised as a couple without any religious belief. There should be a way of two people joining together without the religious element and gaining the same rights as a married couple.

It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks about it, the word “marriage” means the “union of a man and a woman.”

That’s what the word means.

It’s go† nothing to do with gay or anti-gay.

It’s not something anyone needs to vote about or otherwise express an opinion about.

First let’s put this into perspective. Whenever the constitution, state or national, is to be amended for any reason, it must be voted on by the populace. Politicians can only propose an amendment but the final power rests in the hands of the voters. The majority of people (read “voters”) in California decided they wanted marriage defined a certain way. That is how the democratic process works. If you aren’t happy about the outcome, then work through legal and political channels to get a repeal proposition on the ballots. It has always struck me as humorous that these people who say that traditionalists and conservatives want to spread “hate” (which seems to be nothing more than a liberal abstraction meaning “It’s wrong to disagree with my agenda”) are some of the MOST intolerant people one would ever meet when things don’t go their way. It’s wrong for Impure Client to say he doesn’t want to see men making out in public, but it’s fine for themonkeyproject to call him a “godamn ignorant hillbilly.” It’s wrong for Impure Client to say some people think it’s hip to be gay, yet fine for Anun to call him a “stupid dumb fuck.” Sounds like “hate speech” to me. If people like this want to change things so there will be more “love” in the world and less “hate,” they should start by looking in the mirror. It’s the typical liberal rant-“Let’s all embrace in a multi-cultural and gender-blind ball of love and tolerance and if not, you can go fuck yourself.” People like Anun and themonkeyproject sound like your standard run-on-the-mill liberal types. Hate the “haters” more than they hate you while doing it all in the name of “love.” To people like this “freedon” must mean the freedon to agree with me. “Tolerance” must mean I’ll tolerant your existence if you think how I want you to. As usual, their response to what they percieve as lack of freedom amounts to their desire for an idealogical dictatorship in which they rule. Themonkeyproject actually suggests sterilization in his post. Hitler would be so proud. In my town every public park, EVERY public park, has a large amount of gays that hook-up and have sex in the wooded areas surrounding the parks. These are public parks paid for by tax dollars for everyone to enjoy, yet it has become impossible to go to any of then due to the overwhelming amount of the gay “public displays of affection” at them. On November 15th, the day set aside by the gay community to “Fight The H8,” about twelve gay residents decided to protest by going out in the park, go into the woods and fucking each other. If the gay community wants it all to appear so wholesome and normal why do things like this. I’m an athiest so don’t try to pin down this opinion as religious. If the gay community wants this lifestyle to be accepted, perhaps they should start by cleaning up there act and not sucking each other off in public. If they want it to be publicly accepted, they should try to make it publicly acceptable.

The whole “let’s go to the park and fuck each other” thing as a form of protest reminds me of one Southpark episode

As for the idea that the only people who agree with the proposition are the Catholic Church and Muslims (Courtesy of Koncorde). They must be the only people in California who vote beacause THE VOTERS PASSED THE PROPOSITION. If you don’t like it call your congressman, get petitions signed to get it back on the ballot. yeah i read it that horse shit blog post and i also checked their links. so tell me, what does incidence rates of HIV have to do with anything? here is the primary stat from the cdc which the article is most interested in. incidence rates of heterosexual contact is 33% and homosexual is 46%. so what exactly do you get from statement? the article you sent me only said that HIV is a problem in homosexual males and also the transmission of HIV into “heterosexual” women by bisexual men.

the incidence rates from the CDC also say african americans make up 49% of the incidence rate of HIV, and whites make up 30%. so what can you conclude from that? blacks only date for lust also? they only use the CDC reference once and only use it to say gays have a high incidence rate of HIV in their population and promote HIV spreading. from that article, it literally refers to HIV as one of the “homosexual related diseases.” you seriously want to back this insane site?

Well fact is two males or two females on their own cannot reproduce.  They need the assistance of a donated egg or sperm from the opposite sex.  In essence they really aren’t homo dependant, they just prefer to have sexual relations with same sex.  Although when it comes to having a family/children like their normal heterosexual neighbors they revert back to relying on the opposite sex to accomplish this.  Now I believe that man and woman were created for each other and I can’t see how you can deny that by this evidence.  Again, even if you are in the Evolution camp then you still know that it take a females egg and a males sperm to get any where.  Don’t throw the sterility argument into this as that is a defect, just like if somebody was born without the right equipment down there they also have a defect or mutation that doesn’t allow them to reproduce naturally.  So where is the evidence that homosexual relationships are natural and not the sick fetish most all of us believe it is.  If some day we are allowed to have sexual relations with monkeys are you going to be backing that also.  I mean it is their choice to have hot monkey love.  Who are we to get in interfere with their choice?  Of course they won’t be able to reproduce but that’s OK as they can always adopt or use alternative methods to carry on their legacy.
