Making fun of other peoples’ misery is not nice. If you are the one that is being made fun of. Katrina and her waves caused some big ass damage in the South of the US and Wilma is going to give the old folks of Florida a good blow too. Cult show South Park is never one to shy away from making the ridiculous look even more ridiculous and in the case of Katrina they haven’t done so. So, enjoy South Park’s piss take on Katrina and the flooding of New Orleans.
Yeah… but they aren’t making fun of the people suffering… they’re making fun of the news reporters (over)reactions, and the general public’s blaming rediculous things for the problems. I see nothing wrong here…
TIMMAH!
I agree with you Oak, they are totally ripping on the media’s handling of the situation, as well as our governments half assed effort to help.
I can’t see anything...only audio
South Park a “cult” show? Ehh… for a while it was one of the most popular shows on tv. Back when it was “The Spirit of Christmas” I think you could say it had a cult following… now your grandparents know what it is.
Lost all respect for those idiots when they blew up all the puppet people who thought the Iraq invasion wasn’t such a good idea in ‘World Police’. Complete morons. Would have trouble watching that show again - surprised it’s still on.
Now they think the media was the problem in New Orleans ? Sure guys - and have a nice flag-waving vaction in Baghdad.
...I think it would be appropriate for Kenny to lead an Invasion parade in Baghdad…
Tonto, Dear Tonto. The weather was to blame BUT the media made matters a hell of a lot worse. They gave stories out that people took as truth yet were obviousl fiction. Plus your dearly beloved US Governments response was nothing shy of appalling. You have no right invading anywhere if you can’t look after your own in a situation like that. My heart goes out to the poor people it affected because now their Governments failed them to.
F*&% this clip. I’m from New Orleans, and have several friends who work for a couple local news networks. The one thing that my entire family agrees on is that the news coverage for Katrina was overwhelmingly helpful. I am sure they reported some rumors that people had told them, but they made every effort to let the people know just how true they were. We saw several acts of looting on TV. I had friends in boats that went searching for people in flooded homes that were held up at gun point for there boat, probably by f$#%&*! crack heads. Every single person from the south coast was watching or listening to news day in and day out when the storm hit, and it helped us so much. So f$%# south park and its creators. I’m not one to try and tell people what they do is wrong. If you don’t like something on TV, then don’t watch it, but some things should be left untouched. I haven’t seen anyone make fun of 9/11, and Katrina isn’t any different.
Sadly tho its the Global media that really reported it badly. I’m in the UK so base my view on what we get on our news. BBC News 24 gave a good impartial coverage where as every other news channel was full of over blown sensationalism. Hell it even offended me the bias they portreyed!
the world in Irak is not a good idea till know you imbecil, and if such a good idea what ru doing here, go to irak ur self, moron
lol I meant the WAR till now! hahah
Great clip - feel sorry for all Katrina and now hurrricane Wilma sufferers out there. Can’t imagine losing everything in a few hours.

Worked over in the USA for two summer camps and have to say I love it. Everyone from USA was great, but unfortunately GW.Bush gives them a bad rap internationally. Same with our government with Howard in Australia.
