A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon. County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts. Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections “has become a black hole” because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office. Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole.” That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy. Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term. A black hole, according to Webster’s, is perhaps “the invisible remains of a collapsed star, with an intense gravitational field from which neither light nor matter can escape.” I say Price is a racist dumbass.

I remember seeing this not long ago on here or was it another site? Anyway, unfortunately there are pricks like that price guy, anything to cause disruption and make column inches in newspapers. The world has gone pc mad and I thought it was just GB that was going to the dogs with this PC shit. It’s strange how he doesn’t like the word, ‘Black’ used like that but would let two black guys say, “hows it going nigger” to each other, two rules me thinks.
@King1and - be careful what you throw the PC thing at, because 90% of the time it has nothing to do with PC. In fact, more often than not, people take offence at what they perceive to be PC meddling only to find that what was reported in the news was an utter fabricated lie or distortion passed on by someone who doesn’t understand what PC is, or does.
In a case like this - it isn’t PC. It has nothing to do with PC. In fact its everything to do with ignorance. Ignorance on the part of Price and the Judge not to know that a “black hole” is termed such not because of a racial connotation. It’s therefore not “PC” to call it a White Hole, because it wasn’t Un-PC to call it a Black Hole. This is not a case of Political Correctness “Gone Mad” as The Sun would and co would like you to believe.
The fact Price hid behind the PC barrier is a symptom of his ignorance. Not any relevance to Political Correctness, as often is the case.
As for Price - why is it okay to call it a White Hole? He’s an asshat, and so’s the Judge for backing him up.
As Koncorde stated, it’s not so much a PC problem we have here, it’s simply a perfect example of two colossally ignorant liberals showcasing their stupidity for all the world to see. Nothing new nor at all surprising.

As soon as you dress anything in either Liberal/Conservative clothing you’re concealing the true crux of the matter - i.e. that they’re dumb fucks.
Being Liberal does not make them dumb fucks, any more than being Conservative makes them a dumb fuck. What they say and do is what makes them a dumb fuck.
