This case reminds me of the U-S Ebay swindler who defrauded an unwitting buyer of his hard-earned cash, by selling him an empty Xbox 360 box when the buyer thought he would be getting the console instead. However, if the buyer had read the actual Ebay sellers advert (like all the other bidders), it did say “box/packaging only”. The bidding war for the piece of cardboard in the shape of a box fetched many hundreds of dollars, if I remember correctly.
