Yep, the AR-15 is an assault rifle, but if the father is a civilian - then the rifle would be semi-automatic (depending on which state they live in).

The main reason for gun-control is that only citizens with the proper knowledge and use should have a firearm. Most deaths caused by firearms at home is caused by non-existing security on the weapon making it easy for kids to play with or just the plain bad combination of rage/alcohol/stupidity + cheap guns & ammo.

I’m pro-guns, but they should always be locked in a fireproof safe. Atleast the ammo and bolt/action should be safely locked away.

Having respect for the weapons is by far the most safe conduct you can have. Selling guns to people who just want a .44 cal magnum in their house to feel safe is to invite calamity.

. Liberals fully understand the right to bear arms, or indeed any other of those “freedoms”.  In general however they consider guns an unnecessary risk.

You also have to recall that the majority of people on this website I’m going to guess are UK/European.  So it has nothing to do with “flaming liberals” and everything to do with the fact that gun crime (and violent crime in general) is a statistical anomoly for the majority over here.  But it’s a way of life in the US.

I’m not overly impressed.  She screwed up the functions check.

Her father was likely prior military.  The way she whips the bolt assembly to extend the bolt prior to sliding it into the upper receiver is a trick the Army & USMC teaches. 

Civilians would normally use their fingers to extend the bolt.

I personally don’t own a gun.  I would likely use it on someone if I did.  Besides, I would rather stand in front of a judge and explain how I killed someone with my bare hands in self defense than how I shot someone in the face.

I was brought up to respect guns. My father taught me safety first. I now go shooting with my son. He also respects them and knows safety is the number one thing when handling a firearm. He also is a very good shot. It’s a shame that the Olympics didn’t cover the shooting competition on television. It’s a skill you must practice and master. People that think that this video is crazy.
