@Gallstone - He was obviously high on drugs.  It was more about not cooperating, and disturbing the peace.  If police departments from around the world accept naked, drugged individuals dancing around naked in a festival - that’s great, but not everyone accepts that shit.

These cops have not been trained in de-escalating situations. They even put themselves at risk because they risk turning the croud against them by being suchs bullys.

The cops warned he several times there is nothing wrong with the way they handled it. And yes there is something wrong with what he did if you want to run around naked there are places you can go to do that legally.

Wow I’m from Canada and born in Europe and guess what this guy had everything coming to him. Just because you have a bunch of people hating on cops because they use a taser gun. The 1st amendment protects speech.  Speech by def is words that are spoken or text that is written.  The word expression does not even appear in the 1st amendment.  Running around like a naked fairy is not protected under our constitution.

The simple fact of the matter is that he was breaking the law.  A festival, no matter the genre, is not the place for nudity, unless there are actual clothing optional areas.  And yes, those festivals are out there.  He was also abviously high, and for the most part incoherent.  “Paul McCartney is still single”???  Did I hear that wrong, or did he actually say that?

The cops followed procedure.  They used verbal warnings.  They used physical restraints as per training in ground fighting.  They pulled the tazer and let him view it before use.  If he had been sober, he would most likely have been subdued by the idea of it.  Instead, it had little to no affect.  This does not happen to a sober individual. 

If you notice, at the beginning, the guy was getting disgusted looks from the crowd.  I’m sure before the cops got there, they were making sure to give him a wide berth.  Once the police got involved, suddenly the crowd turned sympathetic.  Nothing like uninformed false bravado in large numbers.  Ridiculous.

Ultimately, what is wrong with being naked? Ok, there are laws and that determines how the police react to a situation, but is that guy being naked, wrong? It’s the law that is wrong….......(and that guys lobber is so very, very, wrong). However, I’d defend the right of anybody to be naked any place, any time. Society has far too many hang-ups, including the automatic sexualisation of nudity. Let it all hang out…..........mind you, the Wizard really should have picked a warmer day if he wanted to ‘hang’.

I think it’s hilarious that all of you people are defending the police. They clearly exacerbated what was a harmless situation. They were inadequately trained, obviously, because the guy was probably on drugs, and definitely out of shape, and should not have been hard to move away from the crowd.

However, tazering someone for being nude? Of course that’s police brutality. Everyone on here who made a comment about the USA showed their ignorance.  The real representatives of the USA were the general public in that crowd, having a good time, not causing problems. Clear headed enough to see the guy got chances, blew them, resisted arrest and got what was coming.  My best friend resisted arrest once.  It was all funny at first but after the mace and the hair pulling and the head banging into the car every one of his friends there was begging him to give up.  Once the cops are taking you to jail you can either go or run away.  Very rarely are you going to win that battle so why try.  That’s when they know you’re a moron and not going to listen to shit.
