To respond to the guy yammering on about “that wasn’t into the veins lolol”, I think the issue is that it becomes necrotic if it doesn’t dissolve—which means it kills all the surrounding tissue.  In that sense, I suppose it’s safer than things like cocaine and heroin, which, when things don’t go right, cause you to die rather than fall apart.

I think another contributing factor to these peoples’ prolonged usage is that—well, junkies tend not to live in the most ideal conditions, and the decaying flesh wouldn’t start to show until days afterwards, so they might very well blame it on other factors, such as poor living conditions, disease, or just a general infection.  And I don’t know about how stellar the public health insurance in the slums of Russia would be.

Oh, and to that dude on cocaine, what happened to that girl’s leg is happening in your sinus cavities.  You have fun with that.

I think it’s funny how Sir Durpington acts like he’s medically knowledgeable.  Nobody with medical training is going to advocate using drugs “as long as you know they’re pure” regardless of whether its safe.  But go ahead, try it, these idiots probably listened to someone like you who told them it’s ok to do this.

Clearly some people fail to realize the risks they take when they get high.  And a drug doesn’t need to be flesh eating to cause fasciitis, but if it does not dissolve properly can restrict blood flow and cause cell death which leads to the rotting seen here.
